Rex Marshall, (born Marshall Bingeman Shantz, Jr. January 10, 1919–March 9, 1983) was an American actor, television announcer, and a radio personality for 46 years. His career began in Boston, Massachusetts as a reporter for a radio station and ended in White River Junction, 126 miles distant, as the owner of his own radio station.〔(Google search results for "distance between Boston and white river junction" )〕 Marshall's most memorable role was as the host and announcer of the 50's anthology television drama series Suspense from 1949–1954. Marshall was born on January 10, 1919, in Pemberton, New Jersey.
